Winning the Emerging Leader Award in 2015 means many things to me. Being nominated by my leader and endorsed by my Vice President reinforces that I am focused on the right things for my institution. But winning the award and being recognized nationally moves that feeling of pride and accomplishment to another level. I think it actually will drive me to look not only for leading best practices but innovative next practices.
